Between 2004, 2007, and 2014, he conducted clinical studies on General Surgery, Obesity and Metabolic Surgery, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, and Diabetes at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) and Weill Cornell Medical School. In 2012, he studied Metabolic Surgery (Diabetes Surgery) and its latest advancements with Prof. Dr. Francesco Rubino at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College (USA). Later, in 2014, he worked on Metabolic Surgery and Robotic Bariatric Surgery with Prof. Dr. Tomasz Rogula at the Cleveland Clinic Bariatric Surgery and Metabolic Institute (USA).
Academically, he founded the Department of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery at Bezmialem Vakıf University and was one of its founding faculty members.
