Prof. Tunc Fisgin biography:

Prof. Tunc Fisgin is a highly accomplished and experienced pediatric hematologist and oncologist with 25 years of experience. Moreover, he specializes in bone marrow transplantation, stem cell therapy, and apheresis procedures. In addition, he is dedicated to advancing innovative treatments and delivering the highest standard of care to pediatric patients with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions. As a result, his work has significantly contributed to improving outcomes for children facing these challenging medical conditions.

Pediatric Hematology and Oncology: Focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing blood disorders and cancers in children.
Bone Marrow Transplantation: Expertise in performing bone marrow transplants, a critical procedure for treating conditions like leukemia, lymphoma, and certain inherited blood disorders.

Leadership and Contributions:

Served as Assistant Chief Physician and Head of the Procurement Commission at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine (2006–2008).
Played a key role in establishing the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at the university, managing it from 2008 to 2011.
Transitioned to Samsun Medicalpark Hospital in 2011, helping establish its Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit and serving as its director from 2011 to 2014.
Became a Professor in 2013 while teaching at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine (2012–2018).
Appointed Dean of Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine in 2018.
Since 2014, he has been the Director of the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at Bahçelievler Medicalpark Hospital.
