Dr. Gurkan Danisan biography:
Dr. Gurkan Danisan was born in 1985 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at İnönü University in 2011. After graduation, he worked briefly as a general practitioner at the Beylikdüzü Community Health Center. He then began his radiology specialization at Bağcılar Education and Research Hospital, completing his thesis titled “Correlation of MRI and pathology results in solid testicular masses” in 2015.
Following his specialization, he worked as an expert doctor at Muş State Hospital from 2016 to 2020, where he also served as the chief physician and established the Interventional Radiology unit. In 2020, he continued his academic career as a faculty member at Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, and in 2023, he became an Associate Professor.
His clinical interests include endovascular treatment of peripheral artery disease, oncological interventional radiology, neurovascular interventional radiology, venous interventional radiology, and non-vascular interventional radiology. He has presented at national and international scientific meetings and has published scientific articles on these topics.
Dr. Gurkan Danisan is a member of several prestigious scientific organizations, including the Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology (TGRD), Turkish Radiology Society (TRD), European Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society (CIRSE), European Society of Radiology (ESR), and European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR). He has also participated in advanced-level courses in interventional radiology and served on organizing committees.
Currently, Dr. Gurkan Danisan is working with the Medipol Health Group, providing advanced imaging technologies and innovative treatment methods to his patients.
